A POPULAR TV presenter has died after mistaking the signs of a heart attack for a common cold.
Emilio Sueños, 41, thought he was battling flu-like symptoms – but the star’s condition quickly spiralled.



The presenter and model suffered heart failure caused by excessive testosterone use.
Doctors later discovered his heart had become enlarged from hormone injections he’d been taking after a botched cosmetic procedure.
At first, Emilio brushed it off as a cold.
But his rapidly deteriorated and he needed urgent medical attention.
Close friend Ivanna Melgar said the days before his death were “especially difficult.”
She recalled: “From one moment to the , he started coughing and couldn’t breathe.
“He sent me audio messages saying it wasn’t the flu, but that he simply couldn’t breathe.
“He used sick and stressed on his statuses.”
The TV favourite, a household name in , was rushed to Guasmo Sur in Guayaquil on 1 October.
He was immediately placed in intensive care.
Medics diagnosed him with an inflamed heart caused by excessive testosterone, according to NeedToKnow.
Ivanna revealed the injections had made his condition worse.

She said: “The problem worsened because he injected the hormone into his arm and not his buttocks, due to the presence of biopolymers in that area.
“His heart couldn’t hold up, and one of his lungs was also damaged.
“They gave him blood transfusions, but they turned into water.
“They tried to get the hormone out of his body, but they couldn’t.”
Despite desperate efforts, Emilio tragically died in hospital.
Friends and colleagues have paid tribute to the presenter, describing him as a dedicated, cheerful and hardworking professional.
He was also known as a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community in his hometown of Guayaquil.
