Emergency services were alerted at around 1:15 PM and quickly rushed to her aid.
They reportedly found her unconscious and choking on water.
She was transported to higher ground on a stretcher to avoid the incoming tide.
The young woman was then winched up and airlifted to Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, where she received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
“She was missing some teeth, so we suspect she may have suffered a head injury as well,” stated paramedic Jo Wilton.
“Upon further examination, it appears she has a hip injury and a wrist injury as well.”
Wilton mentioned that the tourist likely climbed the 12-meter tall Elephant Rock before she fell.
“There are no established paths to reach it, and she may have fallen on her way down due to loose rocks,” Wilton added.
“We had to traverse rough terrain to reach her, and rescuers had to carry their equipment along the beach, making it hazardous for our teams as well.”
The woman is believed to be a tourist from Austria who visited Bushrangers Bay for its stunning views.
This incident is not the first involving a fall from a height along Australia's coastline.
Earlier in December, a 17-year-old fell approximately 30 meters after tumbling down a cliff while attempting to take a photograph on the Sunshine Coast.
Despite police efforts, the girl succumbed to severe head injuries.
It is believed she was watching the sunset with friends when they decided to move to a better viewpoint.
As they were returning up the embankment, one of the girls slipped and fell.
Her friends could only watch in horror as she tumbled down the cliff.
In a separate incident in 2021, a woman fell 160 feet at Windin Falls in Cairns, Far North Queensland, while visiting a popular scenic spot on Mother's Day.
She slipped while crossing a natural infinity pool and was knocked unconscious.
Despite police efforts, it took approximately three hours to recover her body, with a rescue operation involving a helicopter, officers on foot, and drones.
This incident adds to the series of tragic occurrences along Australia’s coastline
