Horrifying Police Chase: Stolen BMW Crashes into Care Home, Tragically Claiming Two Lives

THIS is the terrifying moment thugs plough a stolen BMW into a care home and kill two elderly women during a police chase.

The blue smashed into Highcliffe Care Home in on July 10 with eight other residents rushed to hospital after a ceiling collapsed.

Driver Sam Asgari-Tabar, 21, had stolen the motor from an address in Fenham, , alongside Reece Parish, also 21, after taking it for a test drive.

They been pursued by officers on the A1231 when it crashed into the home, which cares for sufferers.

With in pursuit, the reaches speeds of up to 100mph with the shocking footage showing the moment the car hurtles toward the building.

It hits a grass verge and can be seen flying through the air as it slams into the care home.

The BMW hits the building with such force that the back end of the car is launched into the air before it comes crashing back down.

A cloud of dust and debris can be seen following the impact with Asgari-Tabar arrested soon after while Paris fled the scene.

Pictures revealed a gaping hole in the side of the nursing home – which cares for around 60 residents.

Upturned furniture could be seen among shattered bricks and broken glass inside while rubble also littered the ground outside the home.

Police confirmed that two women, aged in their 80s and 90s, .

The “catastrophic impact” caused £260,000 worth of damage while the owners were left facing over £410,000 in losses.

Newcastle Crown Court was told on Monday that a 94-year resident was hospitalised for months after the crash with a fractured vertebrae and was forced to wear a brace.

The BMW was stolen at around 9.20pm with a woman who was selling it still inside, prosecutors said.

Just 15 minutes later the motor hurtled into the care home with cops in hot pursuit.

Reece Parish, of Fordham Road, appeared at Newcastle Crown via a videolink and previously admitted to stealing the car.

The 21-year-old previously denied a kidnap charge relating to a woman who was in the BMW 3-series when he and co-accused Sam Asgari-Tabar took it for a test drive.

Asgari-Tabar, of no fixed address, previously admitted robbery and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

At the time of the crash, he was subject to a suspended sentence imposed in May, the court heard.

Police confirmed the two men will not face charges over the deaths of the two women.

The force said in August: “Following the incident, two care home residents died a short time later but no criminal proceedings are to be brought in relation to the deaths.”

The pair will be sentenced on November 11 and face a “substantial” time behind bars, said Judge Stephen Earl.

A spokesperson for Avery Healthcare, which runs the home, said at the time of the incident: “We are deeply saddened by the incident at our home in Sunderland and our thoughts are with all those affected.

“We are committed to supporting our residents, their families, and our dedicated staff during this incredibly difficult time.

“We are immensely grateful for the compassion and professionalism our teams have shown and continue to show.

“As this remains part of an active police investigation, we are unable to comment further at this stage.”
