Former head coach of the Super Eagles, Sunday Oliseh, has asserted that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) still owes him $26,000.
Oliseh made these remarks during an appearance on the Home Turf podcast.
The 51-year-old stated that he believes he would win if he pursued the NFF through the world football governing body, FIFA.
However, he expressed that he has no desire to take legal action against his country.
Oliseh remarked: “To this day, I am the only Nigerian coach to have resigned.
“And to this day, they still owe me two months' salary, amounting to $26,000.
“Many people have urged me to take the NFF to court.
“I will not bring my fatherland before a foreign court. It begins with FIFA, and I would prevail.
“However, when the media reports it, they will say ‘Oliseh takes Nigeria to court.’ They won’t clarify that it’s ‘Oliseh takes NFF to court.’”
