Charles Omole, the author of From Soldier to Statesman, has stated that there are five influential groups within President Bola Tinubu's administration.

During an interview on the program Politics Today, aired on Channels Television and monitored by DAILY POST on Thursday, Omole mentioned that the first group is led by the President himself.

He identified additional groups, including the Femi Gbajabiamila–Wike faction, the Seyi Tinubu faction, and the First Lady, Remi Tinubu's faction.

“A president will always have advisors and supporters around him. However, it is essential to establish systems to prevent state or presidential capture. For instance, from my observations, the current government comprises at least five factions within the presidency,” he said.

“Interestingly, one of these factions is actually led by the president himself, according to my analysis.”

“In this administration, there are at least five groups. One is the Chief of Staff group, which is led by Femi Gbajabiamila. This includes not only him but also individuals like the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.”

“Secondly, there is the Seyi Tinubu group, which consists of those he has assisted in securing various government positions. Lastly, there is the First Lady’s group, led by Remi Tinubu,” he concluded.
