Nigerian trio, Victor Boniface, Raphael Onyedika and Gift Orban were on target for their respective clubs in the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday night.
At the Nya Ullevi, Victor Boniface ended his five-game goal drought by scoring in Bayer Leverkusen’s 2-0 win against Swedish club, Hacken.
The 22-year-old opened the scoring for Xabi Alonso’s side in the 14th minute.
It was Boniface’s fifth goal of the competition for Die Werkself.
He has now scored 12 goals across all competitions for Bayer Leverkusen this season.
Midfielder, Raphael Onyedika scored his maiden goal for Belgian club, Club Brugge in the 5-0 rout of Besiktas.
Onyedika hit the target in the 51st minute.
In the UEFA Conference League, Gift Orban was among the goal scorers in KAA Gent’s 4-0 trouncing of Ukrainian outfit, Zorya.
Orban scored Gent’s third goal of the night five minutes before the hour mark.
The striker is now the top scorer in the competition this season with five goals from four games.
