Last year, a celebrity took on an enormous challenge for charity by cycling a tough 300 miles over five days on a small bike, journeying through England, Scotland, and Wales.
The former host raised more than £7.5 million during his five-day trek on a customized 1970s children's bike named Patch.
This year, continuing the tradition of presenters raising money through significant efforts, the responsibility fell to Sara Cox.

Sara stated: “The challenge of participating in the Children In Need event is immense, but it’s such an honor coupled with extreme physical effort that you simply can't decline.”

This demanding task required her to cover an astonishing 135 miles on foot over five days, which is equivalent to running five marathons consecutively.
The challenge commenced on Monday, November 10, and concluded on Friday, November 14, marking Radio 2's longest challenge ever in terms of duration.

Throughout the entire journey, she carried a cherished backpack, symbolically transporting the mascot from the Scottish border to the town that shares its name.

How Much Did Sara Cox Raise for Children in Need?
Sara’s tremendous efforts were complemented by the remarkable generosity of BBC Radio 2 listeners, resulting in an extraordinary fundraising total.
Upon crossing the finish line, Sara discovered she had raised an incredible £7.6 MILLION.
As she crossed the finish line, Sara remarked: “That was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”

What Was Sara Cox’s Route Map for the 135-Mile Challenge?
The challenge began on Monday, November 10, amidst the stunning landscapes of Kielder Forest on the Scottish borders.
Sara’s route from start to finish is one of the BBC’s most remarkable challenges to date.
The first day's goal was to reach Hexham, following the River North Tyne.
The second day took her from Hexham to Wolsingham, featuring a challenging 1,500-foot climb up Bale Hill.
On Wednesday, the 28-mile stretch went from Wolsingham to Richmond in North Yorkshire, where she received cheers from crowds after passing through Cockfield, Staindrop, and Winston.
