PIERS MORGAN was involved in a hilarious online back-and-forth with Rio Ferdinand as they debated Folarin Balogun’s red card fiasco.
The striker was dismissed during his side’s 2-0 win over in the Round of 32.

The decision has led to outcry from the Belgian FA, who said they were “astonished” by the verdict and .
But ex-England defender Ferdinand appeared to be in favour of ‘s call as he reposted the story on X alongside clapping emojis.
Morgan replied to his post in surprise as he responded: “Really?!!”
Ferdinand wrote back: “Tuck ya moobs back in ur belt you.”
And the TV host then said: “One of us is definitely being a massive t*t over this… and it aint me bro.”
The situation over Balogun’s red card U-turn blew up on Sunday evening as raged over Fifa’s controversial move.

And while a furious Belgian FA did not refer directly to any potential Trump influence, it said: “We are astonished by this decision.
“This decision is in direct contradiction to the provisions of the World Cup 2026 Competition Regulations,
“The automatic nature of such a suspension was also explicitly reaffirmed in World Cup 2026 Circular No. 16, which was distributed to all participating member associations on 12 May 2026.
“The same rule is reiterated at every Match Coordination Meeting prior to each match and all World Cup 2026 workshop presentations.
“In order to safeguard the legitimate rights of all participating teams and to protect the fundamental principles of fair play in our sport, both at this World Cup and at future editions of the tournament, the Belgian FA is investigating all potential options.”
Balogun was initially punished after a foul on Bosnia’s Tarik Muharemovic.
The US didn’t appeal against the decision, which came after a VAR check, and there was no attempt to protest the suspension.
Balogun insisted after the game that the contact was unintentional and he only deserved a yellow card at worst.
He said: “If you played the game, you would understand there’s scenarios that you simply can’t avoid and it has to be taken into context when it’s being reviewed.
“I felt it wasn’t on this occasion, but I think as you all saw, there’s nowhere else to put your leg, it’s going to be unavoidable.
“So yeah, I’ve seen many different opinions and takes, but for me personally, I think a yellow card would have been fair.”
