THIS is the shocking moment an Olaf malfunctions and tumbles to the ground as horrified children scream at Disneyland Paris.

Footage shows three-foot-tall robot snowman singing in front of a crowd, before suddenly freezing up.

His arms snap to his sides and his eyes stare straight ahead, before Olaf keels over in front of a crowd of kids.

The Frozen character then smashes his head on the ground and lies motionless on the cobbles.

Olaf’s carrot nose flies off as he hits the floor.

Terrified children can be heard gasping and screaming in the dramatic video.

Another Disney actor kneels by the immobilised animatronic, before staff bend to carry Olaf away.

The robot is a new addition to Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris.

It debuted just days before his tragic fall.

Life-sized animatronic Olaf is voiced by Josh Gad, the actor who plays the character in the Frozen films.

The little snowman can waddle freely and talk to guests with the help of AI and Disney Imagineering robotics.

But the high-powered tech unfortunately lead to a hilarious malfunction – which spawned quips and sarcastic comments online.

“He got overworked y’all give him a break”, said one commenter.

Another joked: “Olaf realised he had to do this for the rest of his life… then gave up.”

“His nose falling off really ties the whole thing together for me” quipped one X user.

Some people however were perturbed by the public reaction, with some children screaming when Olaf keeled over.

Another said: “What’s more unsettling is how people react to it like it’s alive.

“It’s impressive tech, but let’s not forget—it’s still just a machine, not a living being.”

Disney Adventure World is home to a musical boat attraction leading visitors to Elsa’s Ice Palace.

It also has a version of Arendelle Village, where children can meet characters Anna, Elsa, Hans, and Olaf in-person.

Disney also revealed plans for a new Lion King-themed world, marking the first time any Disney park in the world is opening an area dedicated to the beloved Disney classic.

The Sun has reached out to Disneyland Paris for comment.
