The destination of Lego is about to become much more accessible – and affordable – for British travelers.
Norwegian is set to introduce three new flights weekly to Billund starting next year.

The new route will run from Edinburgh to the Danish city.
The service is set to commence in April 2026, with three flights each week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
The flight duration to Billund will be approximately one and a half hours. According to Skyscanner , the most affordable month to travel on this new route is May, with fares starting at £55.
Magnus Thome Maursund, Chief Commercial Officer at Norwegian, stated: “The direct route will simplify travel for Danes to explore the culture, cuisine, and breathtaking landscapes of Edinburgh and the Scottish Highlands – an unforgettable travel experience.”
This initiative is part of Norwegian Airline’s expansion, increasing the number of destinations from Billund from five to 15.
These include various locations across Europe.
Currently, Norwegian offers flights from Billund to Gatwick in the UK.
Billund is particularly famous among Brits for being home to the very first Legoland, which opened its doors in 1968.
Indeed, it was the reason for its development.
In the early days of the Lego Group, they required an airstrip, which they constructed in 1961.

Years later, in 1964, the airstrip was upgraded with a 1600-meter paved runway, and the Lego Group transferred ownership of the airfield to a new entity, now known as Billund Airport.
Head of Travel (Digital) recently visited in Billund and had a great experience.
“Before our visit, I wondered if a whole day at Legoland might be dull, but I couldn't have been more mistaken.
It sparks creativity, allowing you to use your imagination, and everywhere I looked, I saw adults reconnecting with their inner child.
“Legoland showcases everything, from the history of the bricks to how they are manufactured, and even the best techniques for building a racing car.
“In September, we also introduced the new Masters Academy — inspired by the global phenomenon — where visitors can learn to build like the experts in a studio setting.”
Caroline also encourages visitors not to overlook the town of Billund, which is easily walkable from Legoland.
A one-day ticket to Lego House costs £28 per person, and a combined ticket for both Lego House and Legoland starts at £72 per person.
Staying at Hotel Legoland starts from £157 per night for two adults and two children, including breakfast.
