A NEPO baby with a top BBC presenter mum poked fun at his ‘nepotism’ after attending Piers Morgan’s Christmas party.
The mum of this A-level student has been working for the broadcaster for over 25 years, and is one of the most respected presenters on the Beeb, counting a BAFTA Award among her many accolades.

And her teenage son seems to be aiming for similar heights, taking on his own show at a local station.
The nepo baby in question is 18-year-old Joe Sandell – whose mum is iconic presenter
Her teenage son is currently preparing for A-levels next year, but is poised to follow in his mum’s footsteps as he clocks up some early broadcast experience of his own presenting on Radio Wey every Tuesday.
But Joe seems well aware of his status as a nepo baby – seemingly poking fun at himself on social media.
He recently posted a clip on his account, joined by his legendary mum, as the duo attended Piers Morgan’s Christmas party.
Rubbing shoulders with the biggest names in the media industry, Joe made light of his privileged position, as he documented his night with his followers.
Positioning the camera towards Victoria, Joe asked: “Right. Where are we going tonight?”
Vic responded: “We are going to Piers Morgan’s Christmas drinks.”
Joyfully recounting how he landed the invite he said: “Mum just literally came in my room and said, ‘you don’t fancy coming to Piers Morgan’s Christmas party with me, do you?’
“So before I even processed that I’ve gone. ‘Yes’.”
As he got ready for the showbiz gig, Joe cheekily addressed his nepo baby status, telling his followers: “Comment Nepo baby, I dare you. I know you want to.
“If it makes you happy, comment Nepo baby.”
At the party, Joe is seen chatting football with Arsenal supporter Piers Morgan, who, with his arm around Joe, heaped praise on player Declan Rice and the wider team who are currently sitting top of the Premier League table.
The video then ended with Joe and mum Victoria getting a taxi back, where the two debriefed on the night.
“It was funny, it was a bit drunken,” she said. “Unbelievable gossip about certain people which was mad slash gross.”
Victoria then awarded the party an ‘8 and a half out of 10’.

Despite having a broadcasting legend for a parent, Joe has publicly stated that his role models are “, , and ” on his radio station bio page – with no mention of his mum.
Victoria has been working with the BBC for over 25 years, starting off as a reporter for BBC Coventry and before moving onto .
She presented the stations breakfast show with Jane Garvey, and moved onto morning presenting for a stretch before picking up her daytime news and current affairs programme on .
The show, which first aired in 2015, won her a BAFTA for her 2017 interview with four former footballers who revealed they had been sexually abused by their coach when they were children.
Her daytime show was cancelled by the Beeb in 2020, who said the cost was too high and the programme failed to capture younger audiences.
Victoria claimed the broadcaster did not make her aware of the cancellation before it appeared in news reports – but despite her revelation she stuck by her employer.
She became joint lead presenter of BBC‘s Newsnight with Kirsty Wark in 2022, and appears on the show three nights a week.
