The footage shows a double-decker bus filled with passengers, with the camera capturing multiple individuals launching fireworks directly at the bus.

Other videos display a group of people dressed in black, their hoods up and faces concealed by masks, filming on their phones while they aim rockets at pedestrians across the street.

Shortly after, two police vehicles arrived at the scene, and officers rushed toward the alleged offenders.

Authorities reported that “pockets of disorder” began at 9 PM on Friday near New Street, close to the city’s main train station.

At approximately 2:15 AM on Saturday, additional fireworks were launched toward buildings, police officers, and each other on Bagot Street.

The arrested individuals ranged in age from 13 to 23, with charges including possession of an offensive weapon.

The police statement indicated: “We apprehended nine individuals after addressing unacceptable disorder where fireworks were discharged in Birmingham city center.

“We took decisive action following several incidents where fireworks were ignited last night and into this morning (1 November).

“From around 9 PM, there were pockets of disorder where some fireworks were thrown dangerously near New Street.

“Then, at about 2:15 AM, fireworks were launched by a group toward buildings, police officers, and each other on Bagot Street.

“Fortunately, no one was injured due to the fireworks being thrown.

“We detained nine individuals—ages 13 to 23—related to public disorder, launching fireworks, and possession of an offensive weapon.

“We will not tolerate such reprehensible actions and will maintain a visible police presence in and around the city center. A dispersal order is also in effect.

“We want to emphasize that anyone involved in such irresponsible behavior risks arrest and prosecution.

“Our focus is on ensuring the city center remains a safe environment for residents, visitors, and those who work in the area.”
