SIR ALEX FERGUSON welcomed snooker legends Ken Doherty and Dennis Taylor to Old Trafford for last night’s clash with Leeds.
The iconic ex-boss, 84, sat with the former Crucible kings as his old side from Yorkshire.

The trio beamed for a picture together after polishing off dinner in hospitality.
Taylor and Doherty then took a selfie from their seats, while they were also able to grab a photo of themselves pitchside during the evening.
Posting the pictures to Instagram, Doherty wrote: “Great night at OT courtesy of , shame about the result though.
“But still great to catch up and share some stories @manutd @dennistaylor1985, thank u Dennis for organising everything too.
JV was sorely missed.”
By JV, Doherty was referring to snooker legend John Virgo, who in February.
Ferguson has long been a huge fan, and even invited Doherty to United’s final game of the 1996-97 title-winning season.
The Irishman, fresh off his World Championship win, thought that he was being pranked by pals… and .
Recounting the story, Doherty told the Star : “I got a phone call a week later.

“I didn’t recognise the number, the voice went [does an impression of Ferguson], ‘Kenny, do you fancy coming and parading that trophy around Old Trafford?‘
“I told him to f*** off! I thought it was one of my mates winding me up.”
Undeterred, Ferguson phoned again.
Doherty continued: “He said again, ‘Kenny, it’s Alex Ferguson here, I’m not going to ask you a second time’.
“So I had to apologise. Not many people have said that to him and got away with it! But he saw the funny side. He loves snooker.”
In addition to snooker, Ferguson is a keen horse racing fan.
The Scot last weekend, and even had an 18-1 winner at Aintree.
Appearing on ITV’s coverage , Ferguson cheekily admitted: “I hated him!”
