ERIK TEN HAG has been linked with a significant new opportunity after his unexpected termination from Bayer Leverkusen.
Ten Hag, 55, was let go by Leverkusen on September 1 after managing just three matches.

This follows the Dutch tactician's contentious dismissal in 2024.
He won the FA Cup and Carabao Cup during his two-year tenure at United but was released last season after a disappointing start to the campaign.
Nevertheless, the Dutchman may be poised for a swift return to the sidelines.
According to De Telegraaf, Ten Hag could make an emotional comeback in January.
The Dutch giants are facing mounting pressure after a poor start under current boss John Heitinga, with fans demanding change.
The club’s board is hesitant to act immediately, but Ten Hag remains the primary candidate to help turn things around.
Ajax currently sits third in the Eredivisie and, while they are unbeaten, a section of the fans has expressed frustration following three draws in seven league matches.
Heitinga has also suffered defeats in both matches this season against Inter Milan and Marseille.
The board is delaying any dismissal for now, but fan discontent and lackluster performances have raised serious concerns about the former ace’s long-term future.
Ten Hag is open to a return to Ajax, where he achieved remarkable success during his four-year tenure.
The Dutch head coach secured three Eredivisie titles, two domestic Cups, and reached the Champions League semi-finals in 2019.
