The Nigeria Police Force has stated that they have not yet been officially notified of the court order that halts the enforcement of the tinted glass permit.
DAILY POST recalls that a Federal High Court sitting in Warri issued a directive on Friday for the police to suspend enforcement and maintain the current status.
The court urged the Force to respect the ongoing judicial proceedings.
A human rights lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, shared the report on his official X account, which caught the attention of the Force's Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin.
In response to the post, he indicated that the police had not been officially served with the court order referenced by Effiong.
However, he pointed out that point number 8 of the court order, which stated that Reliefs 1, 2, and 3 are hereby denied, was not mentioned.
He wrote, “While we have not been officially served the court order you’re referring to, let me, in the meantime, highlight point no. 8 (of the same order) since you omitted that part and focused solely on point no. 6. Nigerians deserve a complete picture, not a distorted one.”
