A FORMER Lloyds Bank HQ is set to be given a major makeover.

The large office space will be refurbished in a £74 million project.

‘s Canon House, once home to ‘ regional headquarters, is a Grade II listed building on the city’s harbourside.

The waterfront space has acquired planning permission for the revamp via real estate investors Mactaggart Family & Partners (MF&P) and workspace giant, Kinrise.

The iconic Bristol landmark, known for its picturesque crescent design and expansive courtyard, will become a 197,000 square ft of Grade A office space boasting impressive amenities.

Proposals for the project, which aims to help and workers “truly thrive”, promise harbourside and coffee shops with garden spaces.

A gym with saunas and a cold plunge pool, along with fitness classes will also be on offer.

There will also be a rooftop boardroom providing city views – plus a podcast studio and a 200-person auditorium for hosting large events.

Kilian Kleine, investment director and head of development at Kinrise, told Business Live : “Our vision is to create a workplace that is not only best-in-class in terms of design and sustainability, but one that genuinely adds to the energy of Bristol’s iconic harbourside.

“We are creating a destination where businesses and people can truly thrive.”

The area, which was initially acquired back in 2024, will see work start later this year.
