LAURA Anderson has revealed she lost “trust and respect” in her relationship after splitting from Dundee ace Clark Robertson.

We told last week how the Scots Love Island star, 36, had called time on her romance with the Dundee footballer, 32, after 18 months together.

Breaking her silence tonight, Laura addressed the split in an Instagram story to her 1.2million followers.

She wrote: “To clarify recent speculation (the joys). I have made the difficult decision for Clark and I to part ways.

“Trust and respect have been lost within the relationship. It’s time for me to accept that and move forward.

“Life is full of painful lessons sometimes. Thank you for your continued support.”

Laura then appeared to make a cryptic dig at the break-up by reposting a message about love.

It read: “As a therapist, I want to tell you: You loved him because love is in you. You had fun because you are fun. You felt happy because you are a happy person. You gave your all because that is who you are. You have a really beautiful way of loving and you are going to be okay.”

It comes after the telly favourite opened up about the “tricky and emotional” reality of planning Christmas as part of a blended family.

Laura shares daughter Bonnie with ex-partner and former Hollyoaks star Gary Lucy, while Clark has two children with his ex.

In December, Laura exclusively told The Sun: “I mean, obviously Clark’s got two kids and then I’m not with Bonnie’s dad and different things like that. So it can be an emotional, tricky time.

“I think blended families sort of bring hardship.”

She continued: “But I do feel that Clark and I are kind of manoeuvring problems together as a team. You know, now we’re really like stronger than ever. I feel in a good place.

“It’s not really something that I expected or had ever dealt with before. Yeah. You know, like you have a child and then you meet someone and then they have kids.

“And actually, it’s not always plain sailing. But we’re really strong and we’re doing better than ever really. So it’ll be nice to have the kids together around Christmas time because they get on really well.”

Earlier this month, Laura jetted off to Dubai with her two-year-old daughter Bonnie, who she shares with ex-Hollyoaks star Gary Lucy.

The influencer shared a string of snaps from the UAE trip – but Clark was nowhere to be seen.

The pair had also kept quiet about their relationship in recent months, with no loved-up posts together.

Laura’s last post featuring Clark was on February 21 after the pair enjoyed a spa break.

Fans had also noticed Clark had stopped liking Laura’s posts in recent weeks.
