Terry remains Chelsea’s most successful captain, winning FIVE Premier League titles, the and a stack of domestic trophies during his glittering career.
And it was those glory years in west London that laid the foundations for his wealth.
At his peak, Terry was one of the Premier League’s top earners.
He saw his wages double to around £135,000-a-week in 2007 – roughly £7million a year before tax – and stayed near that level for almost a decade.
Across his career at FC and FC, Terry is estimated to have earned £72m–£78m in wages.
After tax, that leaves roughly £40m in take-home pay which is the backbone of his fortune.
But Terry didn’t just bank his wages, he invested them.
The former England skipper made a killing on the property market, especially in millionaire hotspot Oxshott.
His biggest win came with his stunning “White Lakes” mansion, which he built before selling for £16m in 2014 and he banked around £10m profit.
He also flipped other luxury homes, including a £5.25m family house, and repeatedly bought plots, redeveloped them into mega-mansions and sold for huge gains.
Overall, his property dealings are believed to have generated £12m–£20m in profit, with more tied up in current homes worth around £5m.
But the Chelsea legend has also dipped into the tech world.
He is a backer of ticket platform Seat Unique, alongside stars like and , and has invested in app Lebom, where he also provides predictions.
He has quietly built a portfolio beyond football but his global profile has helped him land lucrative deals.

These deals have added millions more to his overall earnings over the years.
But not every move has paid off.
Terry was an early promoter of NFT project Ape Kids Football Club but its value later crashed during the crypto downturn.
The 78-cap defender remains involved in football, now coaching at Chelsea’s academy after earning a Diploma in Club Management.
He previously spent three years on the coaching staff at Aston Villa.
And now he has turned his attention to League Two’s Colchester United where .
