CHILLING signs suggest Iran is trying to rebuild its nuclear facilities – as the regime’s supreme leader demands revenge.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said it had closed the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, as its ruler declared avenging his slain father was “the demand of the nation”.

It comes as the Institute for Science and International Security raised the alarm over suspicious construction work at the Parchin military complex.

According to researchers, the facility was blitzed by US-Israeli strikes at the beginning of the war.

Satellite images initially showed cleanup efforts at the site.

But new pictures show several cement mixers and equipment used for permanent repairs at the nuclear plant, according to CNN .

The bombshell images were taken on June 22 and July 7 – after Iran signed a memorandum of understanding with the US.

Iran’s nuclear weapons development was a key point in the now-redundant peace deal.

This means Iran may have violated its agreement with the US even before Donald Trump launched his latest strikes.

The Parchin military complex is considered one of the most controversial sites in Iran’s nuclear programme.

According to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), tests with powerful explosives were conducted there to simulate the implosion of a nuclear warhead.

Iran denies the existence of this program.

According to CNN, there are also signs of repairs underway at other facilities.

Unusual activity has been spotted at Pickaxe Mountain facility, where work on nuclear weapons technology was reportedly taking place deep underground.

Iran continues to deny developing nuclear weapons.

The reports come as Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei called for revenge for the death of his father Ali Khamenei.

Vengeance was the “will of the nation”, he said in a written statement read out on state TV.

“We pledge to avenge the blood of the martyred leader and all the martyrs of these two wars from the criminal and disgraced killers,” he was quoted as saying.

Khamenei has not been seen since before the war, and is rumoured to have been disfigured in the strike which killed his father on February 28.

And it marks his first public statement since his fathers funeral, where mourners filled the streets of Tehran

On Saturday Donald Trump warned any assassination attempts would see the US “decimate and destroy” Iran.

The US president said he had in the case of an attempt on his life by the regime.

Israeli intelligence hatched by Iran.

Trump told the New York Post : “I’ve been on their list for a long time. That’s what we’re dealing with.”

He said: “The only thing is, I’ve left instructions, if anything happens, to just literally bomb them at levels that they’ve never seen before.”
