tvN’s upcoming drama “Second Shot at Love”; has released a new highlight teaser!
“Second Shot at Love”; is a rom-com that follows Han Geum Ju (Girls’ Generation’sSooyoung), a self-proclaimed “reasonable drinker”; who unexpectedly reunites with her first love Seo Ui Jun (Gong Myoung)—a man who despises alcohol—and decides to take on the challenge of quitting drinking.
The teaser begins with Geum Ju’s mother Kim Gwang Ok (Kim Sung Ryung) explaining the reasons behind her new project to make her home alcohol-free: a long list of family disasters all rooted in booze. She recounts how Geum Ju’s father Han Jung Soo (Kim Sang Ho) once drunkenly signed away the family’s inherited junkyard and sank their restaurant business by drinking more than the customers. Meanwhile, older sister Han Hyun Ju (Jo Yoon Hee) ended up in a whirlwind of drinking, pregnancy, marriage, and divorce. Fed up, Gwang Ok declares, “From now on, no more alcohol in this house! If they want to drink, tell them that’s the end of them!”;
Enter Seo Ui Jun, who returns to town and is warmly welcomed as the new head of the Bocheon Public Health Center. While he now loathes alcohol, the teaser reveals that he was once a heavy drinker himself.
As the teaser unfolds, Gwang Ok’s patience is put to the test by her hard-partying, drink-loving family. In one touching scene, Ui Jun gently encourages her, saying, “Let’s wait and see. You’ve put in this much effort, surely they’ll change.”; But Gwang Ok, exhausted and doubtful, asks, “Will they really change if I just trust them and wait?”;—leaving viewers eager to see whether this family can truly turn over a new leaf.
