UEL final: Gary Lineker predicts winner of Man United vs Tottenham

England legend, Gary Lineker has predicted the outcome of the UEFA Europa League final to be played on Wednesday between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Lineker told the Rest is Football podcast, that Tottenham Hotspur would come out of Athletic Bilbao stadium victorious on Wednesday night.

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, two teams that have had terrible season in the league, finishing 16th and 17th respectively, will lock horns in the final of the competition with the hope of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League next season.

Lineker believes that Spurs would overpower the Red Devils and lift the trophy, which would be their third UEFA Europa League trophy.

Lineker, a former England international, was a Tottenham Hotspur player between 1989 and 1992.

“I’m going to go for Spurs...But it could easily go to extra-time,”;; he said.

Tottenham have the likes of Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, and Lucas Bergvall ruled out of the game due to injuries.

For the Red Devils’ fans, they are not expecting to see the likes of Lisandro Martinez, Diogo Dalot, Joshua Zirkzee, and Leny Yoro feature tonight.
