Rangers technical adviser Fidelis Ilechukwu has expressed disappointment with histeam’s elimination from the President Federation Cup.
The Flying Antelopes lost 1-0 to Kwara United in the semi-final at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos on Wednesday.
Wasiu Alalade scored the decisive goal for Kwara United in the 48th minute.
Rangers were looking to win the President Federation Cup after losing the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, title to Remo Stars.
Ilechukwu said his side paid for their slow start to the game.
“This is really a sad loss for us as a team, but we have taken it as one of the outcomes of a football match. It was not destined to be our day,”;; the young tactician said after the game.
“Our first half was not too impressive, but we came back for the second half a better side, but that error at the back gave us away.”;;
