HOLLYOAKS star Stephanie Davis has recalled the ‘terrifying’ moment her baby son stopped breathing on a second occasion.
Thewelcomed a baby boy back in January when she revealed the birth was “tough”;, and suffered a scary ordeal at the start of April when he stopped breathing.
Her baby son Samuel faced a “scary episode”; at just two months old, which left him requiring hospital treatment.
And now Samuel has suffered another scary incident at just three months old.
Stephanie took to her page today to reveal that she was in a cafe after a baby sensory class with her son when he suddenly stopped breathing before he was due to be fed.
Two ladies outside who worked at the hospital rushed to help and got an ambulance.
Stephanie spent all day at the hospital, later recalling: “We were just having a nice day and then all of a sudden he’s foaming from the mouth with loads of saliva. You lose your head as a mum, it’s honestly torture.”;
She added: “Poor baby has had two lumber punctures and all sorts done to him to get to the bottom of it all.
“It’s been a dead upsetting time. I’m trying not to cry again because I’ve just been crying.
“On top of that, when he’s in his pram, he doesn’t like the wind in his face. When the wind is in his face, he starts to blow bubbles and hold his breath. It makes me panic.
“I’m anxious because of what happened yesterday and recently with him with his reflux and I’m hoping it doesn’t turn into an episode.
“It’s just dead upsetting and worrying. I’m just praying he takes a breath and then worrying that next time he won’t clear it,”; she continued, getting emotional as she spoke.
“He’s under the hospital again and we are going back to see them. They’ve told me to him next time but I’ve said that’s the last thing on my mind at the time.
“I’m trying to get him to breathe,”; she concluded.
At the start of April when Samuel was rushed to hospital, he endured two lumber punctures after he stopped breathing three times.
At the time, Stephanie revealed that they “unfortunately didn’t work”; which led to him needing to have several scans.
Two days after the ordeal, Stephanie provided fans with an update.
The doting mum said: “I’m so grateful Samuel is ok now.
“I on the other hand am filled with extreme anxiety, can’t sleep checking his every breath and emotionally exhausted.”;
Stephanie shares son Samuel with her partner Joe McKalroy, who revealed the joyous of the baby’s birth on Instagram at the start of the year.
Joe said at the time: “It has been a traumatic experience but you are finally here in our arms.
“I never thought I could possibly love your mummy anymore than I already do but this is just so special and an unconditional love I cannot explain with words.
“@stephaniedavis88I love you more than you will ever know,”; he concluded.
Steph commented on the post at the time about the “tough”; birth she had endured, writing: “Sobbing reading this. My heart. I love you more than anything in this world.
“I couldn’t love you more. I’m so blessed to have you as a daddy to our boys xxx.
“You carried me though that, it was so tough. I love you more than you will ever know xxxxxxxx.”;
