EPL: ‘Too easy’ – Maresca reacts to Jackson’s red as Newcastle beat Chelsea 2-0

Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca has reacted to striker Nicolas Jackson’s red card Newcastle United during both sides’ Premier League his team 2-0 in the Premier League on Sunday.

Maresca watched as goals from Sando Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes gave Newcastle the victory over the Blues at St James’ Park.

Jackson was red carded following a VAR review for an ill-advised late elbow on the face of Sven Botman in the first half

Speaking after the game, Maresca said of Jackson’s red card: “The only thing I can say is that sometimes it’s too easy to take some decision in some stadiums.

“If the referee decides for red it’s a red,”;; he added.

The Blues are now in 5th position in on the Premier League table with two matches to complete the season.

Chelsea will tackle Manchester United in their next game on Friday.
