EMMERDALE star Matthew Wolfenden has shared a rare picture with his new girlfriend after his split from Charley Webb.
The former soap star took to his Instagram story as he posted a loved-up snap with his new girlfriend .
, 45, previously departed Emmerdale in the summer of 2023 after he was offered the starring role of Buddy in an eight-week run of Elf the musical in London’s West End.
This decision also led to him meeting his girlfriend, and they have taken their relationship public.
Heather took to her own Instagram account to post a sweet snap of the duo to celebrate his birthday.
She opted for a stylish blue sleeveless dress as she cosied up to the actor, who looked dapper in a blue suit.
The choreographer captioned her snap: “Happy Birthday to the best human @matthewwolfenden55.”;
This was alongside two red heart emojis, which he posted onto his own account.
This comes as Matthew opened up on his new romance with The Sun, where he said they bonded over their respective splits.
He explained: “I met Heather doing Elf. Me and Charley had been separated for a few months and then Heather was the dance captain on Elf, she’s a choreographer and a dancer.
“She’d also recently separated from her long-term partner roughly the same time me and Charley had separated so we kind of had this common bond.
“All the cast used to go out for drinks and stuff and we’d end up sitting together and chatting aboutand things that had happened, and that’s how we started chatting. We’d be the last ones in the pub still chatting, it was almost like it was meant to be, that we found each other.”;
Matthew shares three sons; Buster, 14, Bowie, nine and five-year-old Ace, five, with his ex-wife .
The couple split towards the end of his time on the soap, but on seemingly amicable terms.
“Heather sees the boys and she’s great with them. Charley is really happy about it and they love Heather. She’s a dancer and is always mucking about with them, getting on the trampoline,”; he told us.
“I barely see her when we’re around the kids because she’s always out doing something with them.”;
He added: “Me and Heather have only been together for the past year or so and it’s still very early days.
“We get on really well, she’s up and down to London, she’s choreographing a lot down there, I went to see her this weekend, she’s backnextweek.”;
