El Clasico: Barcelona receive double boost ahead of Real Madrid clash

Published on May 11, 2025 at 10:49 AM

Barcelona have been handed double boost ahead of their LaLiga El Clasico with Real Madrid on Sunday evening.

The Catalan club disclosed in a post on their website that Alejandro Balde and Marc Casadó are back to full fitness ahead the Real Madrid clash.

This means both players are available for selection by Barcelona manager Hansi Flick in Sunday’s crunch game.

Casadó had suffered a partial tear of the lateral collateral ligament in his right knee on March 18.

Balde, meanwhile, went down injured against Leganés on April 12. He sustained a distal biceps femoris injury in his left thigh.

Meanwhile, the El Clasico will take place at Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium by 3.15pm, Nigerian time.

Barcelona currently sit above on top of the LaLiga table with four points ahead of second placed Real Madrid.

Flick’s side were recently eliminated from the Champions League at the hands of Inter Milan.
