Championship: Maja scoops West Brom’s top scorer award

Published on May 09, 2025 at 10:55 AM

Nigeria forward Josh Maja has won West Bromwich Albion’s top scorer award for the 2024/25 season.

Maja scored 12 goals in 26 appearances across all competitions for the Baggies this season.

The 26-year-old started the campaign on an impressive note, netting a hat-trick in the 3-1 opening-day victory over Queens Park Rangers.

He then scored in Albion’s next three away league fixtures at Stoke City, Portsmouth, and Sheffield Wednesday.

Maja, however, sustained a leg injury in January, which sidelined him for the remainder of the campaign.

West Brom also missed out on a place in the Sky Bet Championship playoffs.
