2025 U-20 AFCON: Former Super Eagles striker named in technical study group

Former Super Eagles striker, Daniel Amokachi has been named in the Confederation of African Football, CAF, technical study group for the ongoing 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.

Amokachi will work alongside South Africa’s Walter Steenbok and Mohamed Magassouba from Mali.

Steenbok is a former technical director of the South African Football Association.

Mohamed Magassouba was in charge of Malian national team between 2019 and 2022.

International scouts Romain Albaric, and Bennard Yao Kumordzi, will also work with the trio.

The vastly experienced quintet will offer perspective on their initial technical assessment of the competition, reveal tactical trends, analyse playing styles and who are the rising talents in the competition.
