Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia on Sunday, made history by beating El Kanemi Warriors of Maiduguri 2-1 at Umuahia township stadium and qualifying for CAF Confederation Cup.
The visitors had taken the lead just in added time of the first half through Ismail Mukhar before Abia Warriors came out smoking in the second half to equalize and and seal their victory in 56th and 72nd minutes respectively.
Adejoh Ojonugwa and Emmanuel scored for the home team, sending the large supporters inside the stadium into a frenzy.
With 60 points from 37 matches, Abia Warriors have qualified for continental slot, even if they lose their week 38 match.
