2025 Hajj: Nigeria needs your prayers – Gov Namadi to intending pilgrims

Governor Umar Namadi on Monday night bid farewell to 550 first flight of Jigawa State intending pilgrims urging them to pray for peaceful coexistence in the country.

The pilgrims were airlifted from Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi International Airport at about 12: 00 am to the Saudi Arabia for the 2025 hajj exercise.

Addressing the intending pilgrims, Governor Umar Namadi congratulated them for being selected by Allah (SWA) to partake in this year’s Hajj exercise.

He urged them to remain focused and always remember the reason they embarkdon the journey and also pray for the state and the country.

The Governor also advised them to be good ambassadors during their stay in the Holly land.

Earlier, Director General of the JIgawa state pilgrims welfare Board, Ahmed Umar Labbo said, the Board had screened 550 pilgrims from 24 local Governments out of the 27 local Governments.

He explained that the intending pilgrims were from 24 local government areas of the state, which include Kazaure, Roni, Gwiwa, Yankwashi, and Gumel. Gagarawa, Garki, Maigatari, Sule tankarkar, Babura, Jahun, and Miga.

Others are Kafin Hausa, Auyo, Hadejia, Kirikasamma, Gagarawa, Garki, Maigatari, Sule tankarkar, Babura, Jahun, Miga, Guri, Birniwa, Malam Madori, Dutse, Kiyawa, Ringim and Gwaram.

Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo, pointed out that the flight also consists of some officials from the state pilgrims board, medical personal and other critical stakeholders.

He said, the board had also completed all necessary arrangements to ensure the comfort and welfare of the pilgrims in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Some of the pilgrims commended the state government and the board for their commitments to ensure the welfare of the intending pilgrims.
