A GLAMOROUS scammer left brides distraught after allegedly stealing from them on their wedding day while posing as a make-up artist.

Ariana Rose, 40, was accused of nicking a Rolex from one bride, who noticed it in Rose’s social media pictures months after her big day.

Rose has since appeared at Southwark Crown via videolink from HMP Bronzefield in relation to separate fraud offences.

She is due to be sentenced next week after admitting 14 counts – four fraud offences, four of forgery, one of perverting the course of justice, and five thefts.

Rose started grifting in 2008 when she stole £60,000 while working at a bank, narrowly avoiding jail with a four month suspended sentence.

In 2011, she was jailed for 20 months for subletting flats that were not hers – staging viewings and taking £4,180 in rent and deposits under the alias Sana Ali.

Rose was arrested by Warwickshire in November 2025, driving a rented 2 Series, wearing designer shades, , and a Rolex.

also found antique items, foreign currency, and designer shoes at her Coventry address.

Rose has also been accused by dozens of brides of taking money with the promise of doing hair and make-up at destination before calling in sick on the day and failing to provide refunds.

One bride said: “She scammed me back in 2021 claiming she came down with COVID, refusing to give a refund, and then claiming she would call the cops to my hotel when I found a replacement and she had changed her story to say she didn’t have COVID after all & could do my makeup (never showed up, never issued a refund and blocked me!)”

Another said: “In summary, my Rolex watch was stolen on my wedding day, months later, photos of Ariana wearing an identical watch to my missing Rolex surfaced.

“When she refused to provide proof of ownership and serial number for ‘her’ identical Rolex I sent an email to all of my wedding suppliers and businesses associated with Ariana to simply make them aware of the incident.”

She is now due to be sentenced for a rental fraud after subletting flats that were not hers.

Rose was previously jailed for 20 months for subletting flats that were not hers – staging viewings and taking £4,180 in rent and deposits under the alias Sana Ali.

After release, Rose committed the same offences again – a property from David Lederer in Winnipeg Quay, .

Using a forged email address and tenancy agreement she began subletting the property out – posing as David to her new flatmate.

Rose and her flatmate are said to have had a good relationship and had been on holiday together but an article detailing Rose’s previous convictions tipped off her renter.

When Rose was confronted after continuing to pose as David to deal with her flatmate’s complaints, she said her dad was dying but agreed to give her tenant £700 back.

She had stopped paying David rent and it cost him more than £8,000 in legal fees to get County Court judgements against her.

Rose repeated the same MO against a second flatmate in January 2018, who left after only a few weeks because Rose was too messy.

Her second flatmate never got her deposit of £1,280 back and when she asked, was accused of smoking inside by Rose who was pretending to be David.

Rose is also alleged to have told the tenant she would “smash her face in if she went to police” after the second flatmate told her she knew what she had done.

Rose also threatened to falsely tell her primary school employers that she was taking .

A court heard that when she told her employers about the threat, they terminated her contract because of concerns about the “volatility” of the situation.

When David finally got Rose out of the flat he found debt collector letters and bags from expensive boutiques at his property.

Rose then moved onto her next target, Caroline Evans, who managed a property in Ladbroke Grove for Georgina Simmonds.

Caroline said she knew Rose had money by looking at her page, as she appeared to be working as a makeup artist on red carpet events.

Rose provided a fake reference from “Diane Lederer”, paid a deposit and two months rent before immediately sending “aggressive” messages about the state of the flat and accused Caroline of being a fraudster.

She was offered the chance to leave but stayed and continued to send Caroline abusive emails for some 15 months, the court heard.

Caroline said: “She was mixing with celebrities and , going out partying, living a life of luxury.”

Caroline spent £6,000 on civil court proceedings to chase down Rose’s owed rent.

Rose eventually left when bailiffs entered the flat in December 2025 and found receipts that showed she was living a “lavish lifestyle” despite having rent arrears of more than £43,000.

Later, in 2025, Rose then went on a theft spree as a Trusted Housesitter, using the website to gain access to wealthy homes.

Rose would steal from the homes she was trusted to look after and replace it with fakes.

One woman said that sentimental ornaments she had been collecting for 27 years were also gone.

The thefts led to Rose’s arrest and the discovery of photos of her posing with her loot that led officers to a string of other victims.

When police turned up at the houses identified through the phone, victims looked at the photos and realised what had been stolen.

All of the rental scam offences were “relatively sophisticated” because they involved producing fake documents to induce tenants into agreements, prosecutor Sasha Queffurus said.

Defence counsel Charlie Austin-Groome said his client was “genuinely remorseful” and that she had “spiralled” due to her and anxiety at the time of the offending.

Judge Nicholas Rimmer adjourned the case until 2 July when he will pass sentence.
