Manchester City star Phil Foden has named Chelsea captain Reece James as his toughest opponent ahead of both teams’ Premier League clash on Sunday.
Foden will be hoping to lead Man City to victory when they face Chelsea in an away Premier League encounter at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
Speaking with Sky Sports’ Olivia Buzzaglo during a Q&A session, Foden, 23, named James as his toughest opponent.
Buzzaglo posted on X (formerly Twitter):
“I’ve just finished a Q+A with the lovely Phil Foden and he said the toughest full-back he’s ever played against is Reece James.”
Foden and James have faced each other eight times during their professional careers, including at U18 level.
Foden has been on the winning side three times while losing on four different occasions.
