Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has said Casemiro “will suffer” after he comes to terms with his red card in their 2-1 win over Chelsea on Saturday.
Casemiro had scored the second goal against the Blues before he picking up a second yellow card.
The Brazilian’s sending off saw the two teams play with 10 men, after Robert Sanchez was shown a straight red card in the 4th minute.
It made the second half much more even, with Trevoh Chalobah heading in a late goal to set up a tense final 10 minutes.
Speaking about Casemiro’s red card, Amorim told BBC Sport: “He’s [feeling] worse than me.
“We won so I will forget a little bit and he will suffer because he’s a top professional. He understands what he did.
“He is experienced enough that that play should not be played like that. He cares too much.”
