Elvis's Legacy
Nearly five decades after his death, the legacy of Elvis continues to thrive in the hearts—and record collections—of countless fans.
However, like many other legendary figures in the industry who left us too soon, the years following his passing have been marred by lawsuits, scandals, and disputes over the immense fortune he left behind.

Recent Lawsuit Claims
Currently, Priscilla, Elvis's ex-wife, is embroiled in one such lawsuit, which took a dramatic turn last week.
A newly filed claim includes the astonishing allegation that the father of one of Elvis's great-grandchildren is, in fact, John Travolta.
These sensational, yet unproven, claims arise from a $50 million lawsuit against Priscilla Presley by two of her former business associates.
Brigitte Kruse and Kevin Kialko initiated the legal action against the King's ex-wife over promotional work they did for her brand.
This lawsuit also follows Priscilla's own legal action against them, where she accused them of draining her finances and exploiting her advanced age.
She alleged that they devised a scheme to “prey on an older woman by gaining her trust, isolating her from her loved ones, and deceiving her into believing they would care for her… while their true intention was to deplete her of every dollar she possessed.”
Now, Kruse and Kialko are eager to demonstrate that they are, in fact, the victims.
Within this lawsuit, the extraordinary claims regarding parentage are outlined.
It asserts that Riley Keough, 36, Elvis's granddaughter and an actress, allegedly donated her eggs to John Travolta and his late wife Kelly Preston.
This enabled them to welcome their son Ben, now 15, in 2010—establishing him as the King’s great-grandson.
The claim also states that Lisa Marie Presley had donated her eggs so that Preston could have a child.
These surprising revelations reportedly stem from statements made by Lisa Marie’s ex-husband, Michael Lockwood, who, when questioned, denied ever making such claims, stating they sounded “absurd.”
Priscilla has also condemned the “outrageous” assertion that her granddaughter Riley is the biological mother of John Travolta’s youngest son.
An attorney representing both Garcia and Priscilla issued a statement saying: “After losing motion after motion in this case, and unsuccessfully trying to have Presley’s attorney, Marty Singer, disqualified from representing her, Brigitte Kruse, Kevin Fialko, and their co-conspirators have shown that there is no ethical line they are unwilling to cross to inflict further distress on Priscilla Presley and her family.
“In an entirely improper attempt to apply undue pressure on Presley to retract her legitimate, truthful claims, Kruse and her co-conspirators have also sued Presley’s son, cousin, and assistant.
“These recent outrageous allegations have no connection to the claims in this case.”
The filing also alleged that Travolta chose not to use Lisa Marie’s eggs, expressing concern over “eggs with heroin,” referencing her struggles with addiction.
Lisa Marie, Elvis’s only child, passed away in January 2023 at the age of 53 after experiencing cardiac arrest.
Her death was ruled as natural and related to complications following surgery.
However, the lawsuit also dramatically accuses Priscilla of intentionally ending her daughter's life for financial gain, fearing that Lisa Marie would disinherit her, thereby losing access to the family’s trust and the iconic Graceland mansion—a significant revenue source and the second most visited home in the US, after the White House.
It continued, alleging that just a week after her death, Priscilla proclaimed: “I’m the queen. I’m in charge of Graceland.”
Her attorney firmly responded, “Accusing a grieving mother of contributing to her daughter’s death is not savvy advocacy; it is malicious character assassination, and should be universally condemned.”
The Lawsuit
In 2021, Priscilla sought advice from Kruse and Fialko regarding her branding, and the lawsuit claims they spent extensive hours developing marketing strategies and forming companies that utilized her name and likeness for profit.
