A CLEANER reports that her side hustle of flipping items purchased from car boot sales on Vinted has generated enough income to fund her dream vacations to Disneyland and Lapland.
Cydney Fulker began attending car boot sales regularly last year after being motivated by seeing other resellers boasting on social media about their earnings.

The resourceful 31-year-old claims it didn't take long for her to achieve similar results from her newfound 'hobby'.
In September, she treated four family members to a £2,500 holiday, all funded by her sales on the platform.
Additionally, she financed a £370 solo trip in December, and overall, Cydney reported earning over £4,000 on the popular selling site.
Cydney, a self-employed cleaner, searches her local car boot sale every Sunday for items she can resell for a profit.
Initially, the savvy shopper sold the items she found as a hobby, but now she earns thousands of pounds extra each year on the app—despite dedicating only an hour a day to it.
Bargain hunter Cydney spends between £40 and £80 at the car boot sale weekly, with the profitable side hustle sometimes yielding up to £250 in a good week.
Some of Cydney's most profitable flips include a £4 YSL bag sold for £55, a £5 Jellycat plush for £30, and a pair of shoes bought for £4 and sold for £60.
She notes that vintage children's toys, ski gear, Crocs, and discontinued items consistently perform well.
Cydney, hailing from Brighton, East Sussex, shared: “I’ve always sold at car boot sales once or twice a year to earn some extra holiday money.
“I’m 31 now and have been doing this since I was 18.
“Last year, I decided to explore car boot sales more seriously. I thought, I’m going to give it a try.
“Last year, I started going to car boot sales to buy. Initially, I would only pick up a few items here and there to resell. It was a bit of trial and error.
“This year, I’ve been actively participating since the car boot season began.
“I clean the items, take photos, and then use ChatGPT to craft my descriptions.

“I paid for our Disneyland trip, so five of us are going in September.
“It cost about two and a half grand, I suppose.
“It’s a wonderful feeling. It feels like an accomplishment. I’ve actually gained something from it instead of just putting it in my bank account and spending it on everyday life.”
Cydney revealed that she began saving for her holiday in February and had paid off the trip by July.
HUSTLE HOURS
She dedicates approximately an hour each day to the app, uploading items, updating listings, and negotiating with buyers.
Cydney explained: “When I share what I’ve done, people often say, ‘oh that sounds like a lot of effort.’
