CELTIC’s Annual General Meeting was met with furious protests from fans and had to be suspended after just five minutes on Friday.
The event, which began at 10:30am at Celtic Park, was intended to give shareholders a chance to interact with the club’s board and express their concerns.

But the club hierarchy got more than they bargained for from the attendees, who began protesting almost immediately after the meeting began.
The board were shown a sea of red cards as they arrived in the room, with emphatic chants of “sack the board” echoing through the room.
chairman Peter Lawwell attempted to quiet the crowd, but the situation only escalated with his efforts.
They then reportedly tried to play a positive promotional montage on the screen, which further frustrated disillusioned attendees.
In the face of the disruption, the panel quickly made the decision to leave the stage, adjourning the meeting for half an hour, just five minutes after it had first commenced.
The meeting got underway once again after a number of fans walked out during the video presentation.
The Celtic AGM only lasted five minutes before it was adjourned for thirty mins.

But things got heated once more when that group returned for the questions at the end of the meeting.
Lawwell threatened fans with a premature closure of the AGM if they did not show restraint, telling attendees to “behave,” which prompted another chorus of jeers from the crowd.
Ross Desmond, son of part-owner Dermot Desmond, then gave a controversial statement that said the board would not be “bullied by aggressive, irrational factions.”
The uproar in response to the statement once again made proceedings difficult, with Lawwell soon announcing that the meeting would be abandoned – almost an hour before its scheduled end.
Fans of the club have had an equally hostile reaction to the news on social media.
One fan said of the chants aimed at the board: “People will moan but they’re the same people that moan when it’s sung at games. This is where we should be holding them to account.”
Another fan could not believe the confrontational scenes at the AGM, saying: “Surely this is the watershed moment. Absolutely no way back from this.”
