A MAN in his 30s has been arrested as cops issue fresh CCTV in the hunt for an “attempted murder” suspect who left a man fighting for his life.

The victim was allegedly attacked from behind by a man in his 20s while walking near the golf course.
It is alleged that the victim was stabbed multiple times – leaving him in a critical condition in hospital.
A passer-by found the victim slumped on a bench after the brutal assault and alerted .
The man was rushed to hospital where he is fighting for his life.

His family have been informed of the horror and are being supported by specialist officers.
Investigators from Staffordshire Police have now issued fresh CCTV images of a man as they continue to hunt the alleged attacker.
Cops also said they had arrested a 30-year-old man on Monday evening in connection with the .
He was initially arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and public order offences and remains in police custody at this time.
It follows a public appeal for information as officers desperately tried to track down the knifeman.
A member of the public provided new images to police with the force now sharing them in a bid to identify the individual in the pictures.
The images, from Thursday May 14, show the man before the attack at around 6.36pm.
Cops now say they are looking at the Newport Road and Highfields area as their search for the suspect continues.
Detective Chief Inspector Ian Fitzgerald said: “Our investigation is moving at pace, and I want to thank those members of the public who have already helped us.
“The clearer CCTV we are releasing today was provided because of earlier appeals, which shows the real difference the community can make.
“But we still need your help to identify the man and would ask anyone who recognises him to get in touch as even the smallest detail could prove significant.
“We understand the impact this violent attack has had within the community and that it can impact feelings of safety.
“Local officers remain in the area to offer support, and the scene remains in place as a specialist search team continue their work.”
