Socio-political activist Deji Adeyanju has advised the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, to retire from politics.
Tweeting, Adeyanju wrote: “Atiku is convinced he won the election but doesn’t know how to prove it. Just stressing himself for nothing. He should retire from politics and support a younger person in 2027. Politics must not always be about self.”
Earlier, the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja had reserved judgement in the petition filed by Atiku against the victory of President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The five-man panel, led by Justice Haruna Tsammani, reserved judgement for a date to be communicated to the parties.
