Rivers United head coach, Stanley Eguma has revealed the reason behind his team’s defeat to Dreams FC of Ghana.
The Pride of Rivers went down to a 2-1 defeat against the Ghanaians in their CAF Confederation Cup matchday two encounter at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi.
John Antwi gave Dreams FC the lead in the 35th minute, while Abdul Aziz Issah added the second 15 minutes from time.
Alex Oyowah reduced the deficit deep in stoppage time.
“They (Dream FC) got their chances and converted them, especially in the first half.
“We had a load of chances in the second half but unfortunately, we couldn’t convert those chances,” Eguma told reporters after the game.
“That was our greatest undoing today and I think we have to go back and work on those areas and come back stronger in the next game.”
Rivers United will take on Club Africain in their next game.
