A FIVE-year old boy was beheaded in front of his mum by a man who stormed into their home.
Mahesh, 25, allegedly grabbed a sharp spade he found lying in the house and attacked the young boy – severing his neck from his torso.

has been left shocked by the disturbing attack, which took place yesterday in the country’s central state of Madhya Pradesh.
The child’s mom was also injured in the sick attack after she desperately tried to save her son.
After hearing her cries, local ran to her aid and severely beat up the attacker who later died on his way to hospital.
Cops understand the attacker had been missing from his home for almost four days.
He had also allegedly tried to steal items from a nearby shop about an hour before the attack.
A cause of death for the child has not yet been determined and will be revealed after a post-mortem.
A case was registered against the suspect.
Dhar Superintendent of Police Mayank Awasthi confirmed the death of the accused and said a judicial inquiry has been launched to determine the cause.
He said: “The actual situation will become clear after the post-mortem report is released.
“Police investigations revealed that they had no acquaintance or grudge against the murderer. The police are conducting a detailed investigation.”
The vile attack comes just months after the country was left in shock after a tourist and her travel host were gang-raped while stargazing.
Police chief Ram L Arasiddi said the sick assault began when the host took her four guests – the Israeli women, two Indian men, and another man from the US – stargazing near the canal in Koppal.
The three suspects then arrived on a motorbike and approached the group.
They first asked where they could get petrol – before demanding money from the victims.
And then they attacked, hurling the three men into a canal – killing one of the Indian travellers.
The other men managed to swim to safety.
The gang then attacked the two women, beating and sexually assaulting them, before fleeing on the motorbike.
The case sent shivers across India – with Karnataka state president B. Y. Vijayendra saying the are still not enough protections for women.
He said authorities remain “delusional and indifferent”.
The state’s chief minister Siddaramaiah said: “Our government is committed to providing protection to everyone, including tourists, coming to the state.
“All necessary measures will be taken to ensure that such incidents do not recur.”
