A young boy sustained a head injury and was airlifted to the hospital after “falling from” a fairground ride.

Paramedics from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance were summoned to the popular pumpkin picking location in North Yorkshire.

The child was quickly taken from Spilman’s Farm in Thirsk to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, where he received treatment for a head injury.

An ambulance spokesperson stated: “We received a call at 19:21 – we dispatched an ambulance, and the air ambulance was also on the scene.

“A young patient was transported to James Cook University Hospital with a head injury.”

The ride involved in the incident has been closed, as confirmed by the farm.
