Since then they have transformed the run-down space into their dream home with an eye-watering renovation including a swish outdoor bar by their luxury pool and cabana.
gave her fans a long-awaited tour of the bar on the couple’s Instagram account dedicated to the renovation.
“When we was designing this room, we really wanted a curve shaped bar,” Billie said in the video as she pointed to the off-white marble-topped bar, complimented with matching swivel chairs.
“One of the main features” of the bar according to Billie is a neon sign that sits above the back bench and over the mini-fridge that reads, “A little party never killed nobody.”
She admitted their bar fridge was running low on booze since Christmas and they needed to restock it, but that was “Greg’s department,” so she’d leave it to him.
Another big feature in the room is the luxury snooker table which the TV couple were reluctant to buy at first.
“When we have friends over, everyone’s always using it and playing on it. So I’m glad we went for it,” she said.
One standout and unique piece in the room is a large oil painting that was handed down from her grandmother, which appears to depict a large ballroom scene.
“I feel like it’s such an interesting picture,” Billie said.

“Whenever anyone comes in here, the first thing they walk over to is this. I love it and I feel like it really goes with the vibe in here.”
The mum-of-two also described how the floor to floor to ceiling patio doors offer a great view of their immaculate garden and swimming pool.
‘In the summer, we just push these doors back, and everyone can come in and out and help themselves to drinks,” Billie said.
While the couple are slowly working towards achieving their dream home, their renovation has not been without its fair share of headaches including
They refused planning permission amid uproar from the neighbours who claimed the works were “excessive” and not in keeping with other properties on the street.
A neighbour told the council in 2020: “I give my response to the amended drawings for the above property which, whilst I would have liked to have had similar window treatment to bedroom 4 as that of bedroom 2, I find to be acceptable in principle.”
Originally, the council officer’s report stated it would be the biggest house on the street and the increase in size from the original home would not be acceptable.
They also thought the house would “erode local character and spatial qualities.”
Billie and Greg went away and modified the plans, which were then approved but the experience has meant they no longer speak to their new neighbours.
Asked if they had built bridges, Billie said at the time: “No, actually. We don’t go there much, to be honest, so we’ve not seen anyone. But it’s just not a great start, is it?”
She continued: “The house is so old, whoever was going to buy it was going to have to renovate.
“There’s only one neighbour to the side of us and he had a lot of reasons as to why he didn’t want us to go ahead, but it was getting a bit silly in the end.”
