APC Women Leader and Allies Make Bold Move, Join NNPP in Kano

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Women Leader in Kibiya Local Government Area, Hajiya Sabuwa Tarai, on Tuesday, led over 100 party members from Tarai to switch their allegiance to the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP).

According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the Director of Public Enlightenment at the Kano Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Balarabe Kiru, the defectors were welcomed into the NNPP by the state's Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Alhaji Adamu A. Kibiya.

Kiru mentioned that the group, under Tarai's leadership, cited the numerous development projects and initiatives undertaken by Governor Yusuf's administration as the reason for their defection.

“We are impressed by the many projects carried out by Gov. Yusuf at both the local government and state levels,” Tarai stated.

The commissioner greeted the new members as part of the NNPP family, promising them equal treatment and encouraging them to unite and actively contribute to the party's growth.
