But some fans might not know he played a whopping 445 times for Mexican side Tigres across 11 seasons for the Liga MX side.

He scored an incredible 222 goals for the club, helping them win five titles and the CONCACAF Champions League.

Gignac loved his time in Mexico so much that he has settled in the country and decided to build a ranch in a remote location outside of Monterrey.

He decided to design his dream family complex, complete with a swimming pool, slides, a tennis and padel court and basketball court.

There is also an outdoor cinema and a wellness centre with saunas.

Explaining the unique complex, he told Padel Magazine he built it mainly with his children in mind.

He said: “The first time I saw the land, I took a sheet of paper, drew a rectangle and placed on it what I wanted. After that, I got a little excited.

“What I didn’t have myself, I was able to give to my children. I am a child, a big child.

Gignac started his career at Toulouse before joining Marseille in 2010.

He played 188 times for the club, scoring 77 goals, and was linked with a move to the Prem during his time there.

In 2011 he came close to joining before the move collapsed on deadline day.
