A 21-YEAR-OLD has revealed that she shares a bed with her mum and has just 88p to last her the rest of month.

Abbey Elbourn, a young woman who is originally from but is now living in , earns minimum wage but is desperate to save to buy her first .

The , who 44 hours a week over four days, is now so that she and her can find a bigger property.

Posting on the sat next to the bed she shares with her mum, who she is “super close” with.

Getting candid about her situation, she said: “This is the bed I share with my mum at the ripe old age of 21-years-old – this is day one of posting every day until I can afford to with our own space.”

As she shared a screenshot of her bank balance, she continued: “I have this envelope challenge that I was going to try and attempt to do, but I think that was a little bit ambitious because I make so I currently have 88p left in my bank account for the rest of the month of September.”

Desperate for help and eager to monetise her content and earn extra cash through the , Abbey is now on a mission to share videos on TikTok every single day.

Abbey asked: “Anyways, if this is on your For You page, please boost it in any way you can – like, comment, share.”

According to the TikTok official website , the Creator Fund “gives TikTok’s best and brightest the opportunity to earn money with their creative talent.”

While it is not a grant or ad revenue program, the Creator Fund provides payment to qualified TikTokers based on a “variety of factors” across their content.

The website continued: “We want all creators to have the opportunity to earn money doing what they love and turn their passion into a livelihood.”

With no limit on the number of qualified TikTokers who can join the fund, payments may increase or decrease at different times throughout one’s run on the platform.

However, creators must have 10,000 followers to begin earning.

With Abbey currently at just over 2,000 followers, she requested: “This is your permission to text your ex, send them this video – whatever you wanna do with it, help me get paid so I can for a house.”

Abbey claimed that buying a property wouldn’t just be for her, but her mum too.

“She deserves her own space, I can’t even imagine sharing a room with your daughter,” she concluded.

Abbey’s clip, which was posted under the username @ abbeyelbourn , has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 51,000 views.

Not only this, but Abbey’s video has also amassed 8,502 likes and 606 comments in just two days, with viewers desperate to help the young woman through the Creator Fund.

Another added: “I’m here on day one and I’ll be here when you get that house!! Let’s gooooo.”

Some factors affecting the funds a qualified TikToker may earn include number of authentic views per video, the amount of engagement, and whether or not the work falls within the Community Guidelines.

Not only this, but one woman gushed: “You’ve got this! You can save the pennies. C’mon TikTok, let’s pay this lady.”

Meanwhile, at the same time, someone else asked: “Do you have a page?”

To this, Abbey wrote back and confirmed: “No, I don’t, I sorta felt like this wasn’t really something to set up a for.

“I’m very lucky to have a roof over my head and I know there are a lot of people in this world who are far worse off than me, so I thought I’d just let TikTok do its thing and try to keep working hard.”
