The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Oyo Central Senatorial District, Joshua Oyebamiji, has announced that there are no longer any factions within the party in the state.

Oyebamiji made this statement while speaking to journalists at a rally organized by the party leaders in the Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency on Wednesday.

According to DAILY POST, the rally saw participation from party leaders across both Akinyele and Lagelu local government areas, including Chief Kunle Sanda, Femi Egbedeyi, Tayo Oyetunji, and Olafisoye Akinmoyede, a member of the House of Representatives representing the Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency.

Oyebamiji emphasized that all party leaders in the state have committed to functioning as a united entity to ensure success in the 2027 elections.

He stated that all party chieftains are dedicated to collaborating and advancing collective objectives rather than pursuing individual agendas.

He further remarked that the time of factions within the party is over.

Oyebamiji expressed, “We are here for two main purposes. Firstly, we want to inform the world and the people of Oyo State that the APC is united in Oyo State.

“We are now a single, united family. The APC stands as one in Oyo State, which is why we refer to this gathering as a unity rally.

“Secondly, we are here to show our support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in anticipation of the 2027 general elections. We have made a commitment to collaborate. The APC in Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency fully supports President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and endorses him for a second term.”
