Ajuji Ahmed, the National Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has expressed his disapproval of former party members who have switched to other political parties.
Ahmed stated that those who departed from the NNPP will face difficulties and challenges in their new political affiliations.
He made these remarks during the party’s 10th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held on Thursday in Abuja.
He referred to the ex-members as “renegades” and pointed out that while the NNPP may not be the largest party, it is more robust and united than many others.
Ahmed encouraged party members to disregard those who have defected, asserting that their choices will only lead to hardship.
He emphasized that abandoning a peaceful party for troubled ones is an unwise decision.
Additionally, he criticized the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), highlighting that the NNPP has remained stable despite attempts by outsiders to instigate issues.
According to Ahmed, the NNPP is free from internal divisions and is not dominated by any single individual.
He affirmed that the party is neither fractured into factions nor weakened by external influences, but instead remains united and dedicated to its objectives and guiding principles.
Ahmed stated: “I urge you to completely disregard the maneuvers of renegades who label themselves as defectors.
“May their journey continue to be challenging.
“If an individual or a group chooses to leap from calm waters only to land not just in a frying pan but directly into a blazing fire, we wish them a safe journey.
“We are not divided into three factions with two party chairmen. We have not been captured, fragmented, or rendered ineffective by a single omnipotent external force; we are NNPP. We stand united.”
