A 65-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 93-year-old woman.
rushed to the elderly lady’s home, after receiving a call from an individual concerned for her welfare.


Police arrived at the address in , at 1pm on June 29.
They were joined by who sadly pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

& Cornwall Police have set up a cordon at the property and are now appealing to any neighbours or friends of the people involved who might have more information.
Detective Inspector Rob Smith, senior investigating officer, said: “We are currently carrying out enquiries to establish what happened in this very sad case.
“A cordon has been set up to allow for a thorough investigation of the scene to take place.
“It is believed that the man and the woman were known to each other.
“The community should be reassured that this is being treated as an isolated incident and at this time we are not seeking anyone else in connection to the death.
“There will be a heightened police presence in the area over the coming days as enquiries are ongoing, and I would encourage anyone, if you have any concerns, to contact officers from the local neighbourhood policing team.”;
The news comes after the Office for National Statistics released a map revealing the top UK crime hotspots.
Westminster, London, topped the charts with a staggering 432.3 crimes committed per 1,000 people.
That means there was nearly one in two people in the area had committed a crime.
Camden, London, came in second though the ONS did point out that this area â as well as Westminster â see high numbers of tourists which drives crime rates.
