WEST HAM has added Norwich striker Josh Sargent to their list of targets for January.

The Hammers are eager to recruit a centre-forward next month following a challenging first half of the season.

Sargent, who was a target during the summer, has netted six goals for the struggling Canaries so far this season.

He is believed to be valued at approximately £15 million by the American international, who is 25 years old.

The Hammers have been monitoring Sargent, who had to leave the pitch with an injury during their midweek draw.

His injury is not considered serious, and he is among several players being evaluated for a potential forward position.

West Ham is prepared to invest in January, although they may need to sell players to finance any new additions.

A German striker is seeking a January exit from the London Stadium after falling further out of favor under Nuno.

A loan move back to his home country appears to be the most likely option for the former £27.5 million signing.

James Ward-Prowse is also available after being sidelined by Nuno.

Ward-Prowse started every Premier League match this season under Graham Potter but has not been included in a squad since Nuno took charge.

Multiple club sources have confirmed there has been no altercation between the player and the manager; it is purely a tactical decision from the former boss.

Ward-Prowse continues to train daily with the first team; however, his lack of playing time may hinder West Ham's ability to secure a decent fee for the midfielder in January.

His former club, where Ward-Prowse spent 20 years, has shown interest in a loan deal, but the terms required for such a move are unlikely to be favorable for West Ham.
