A WOMAN has revealed how she was able to sell a whopping 640 items in just one month on Vinted.
is an online marketplace where people can buy and sell second hand clothes, shoes and accessories.

It’s completely free to upload clothes to the app and Vinted does not take a cut of sellers’ profits and instead charges buyers a small fee to purchase each item.
Known simply as @the.crafty.resell , the mum took to TikTok to reveal that she bulk buys clothes on the cheap, from sites such as Gully Garms, and resells them on Vinted for profit.
Back in July, the seller deleted everything from her Vinted account and relisted it again, making a note of exactly what she had listed, how much for, and what she had sold .
Deleting and relisting items on Vinted is a popular tactic used by sellers, as it brings your items to the top of the search page.
However, as of September 8, , so you better re-list any items quick, to boost your chance of making sales.
Throughout the month, the seller listed a whopping 965 items, many of which were in bundles.
In order to boost her sales and get rid of the backlog of 50 bags of clothes she had in her garage, she sold many clothing items in bundles of 10, 12 and 15.
These items were priced anywhere between 10p and £2 per item, and included everything from non-branded items, to Armani and Ralph Lauren.
The mum managed to sell 357 items of clothing in bundles, and a further 283 items individually.
She revealed that she made “good ” for the month, and now feels so much less overwhelmed, as she has been able to sell so much stock.
Addressing fellow resellers, she advised others to consider deleting and re-listing their items too.
“With the ban coming in in September, this is the time to do it”, she said.
“I may have one last big re-list before the ban comes in”.
The mum’s video has likely left many people impressed, as it has racked up 151,000 views on the video sharing platform.
Do you need to pay tax on items sold on Vinted?
QUICK facts on tax from the team at Vinted...
- The only time that an item might be taxable is if it sells for more than £6,000 and there is profit (sells for more than you paid for it). Even then, you can use your capital gains tax-free allowance of £3,000 to offset it.
- Generally, only business sellers trading for profit (buying goods with the purpose of selling for more than they paid for them) might need to pay tax. Business sellers who trade for profit can use a tax-free allowance of £1,000, which has been in place since 2017.
